Job summary

E2 Consulting Engineers, LP is seeking a Utility Distribution Planner to support major electric utility clients, including public utility commissions, across the country. The role focuses on reviewing applications, coordinating with stakeholders, preparing costs and BOMs, and conducting field inspections.

The work must be performed locally in Hawaii, with relocation offered. Responsibilities include reviewing service applications, preparing BOMs, attending meetings, and ensuring design

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology from an accredited college.
• 6–8 years of experience in utility distribution planning or electric utility projects.
• Familiarity with utility infrastructure planning workflows.
• Ability to perform field inspections per client standards.
• Strong communication with contractors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provides project oversight and mentorship to peers and technical assistance for all project scope & determinations during daily operations.
• Review electric service applications for installations of temporary and permanent overhead and underground utility and service facilities.
• Review and provide comments on project submittals throughout the project life cycle.
• Review and respond to RFIs in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepare initial bill of materials and cost estimates for utility service applications.
• Perform field inspections and prepare field reports in accordance with client and city standards.
• Prepare complete job packages containing all final information needed to construct each project.
• Validate design information against utility standards.
• Attend scheduling and coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment to meet project scope, schedule, and budget.
