We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead field-oriented activities in Pomona, CA, with hybrid-remote work (Tuesdays and Wednesdays in office/field). The role requires 10+ years in overhead and transmission construction, plus California regulatory and environmental compliance experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Project Management certificate.
• 10+ years in overhead and underground distribution, subtransmission, and bulk transmission construction.
• 5+ years in construction management on distribution, subtransmission, bulk transmission projects.
• 5+ years experience with California regulatory requirements GO 95, 128, 165, 131-d.
• 5+ years experience with federal/state environmental regulations (USFWS, USACE, USFS, BLM, BIA, CDFW, RWQCB).
• Knowledge of methods and tools used in electric utility construction.
• Ability to lead technical teams on safety, construction standards, and quality.
• Experience overseeing vendors/third parties.
• Experience managing craft labor employees.
• Self-motivated with excellent written and oral communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Participate in initial field reviews discussing project alternatives with Transmission Engineering and Environmental teams.
• Provide advice on construction feasibility.
• Maintain design feasibility with engineering and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct field reviews to plan construction activities and schedules.
• Compile Google Earth map sets of construction areas and coordinate with GIS.
• Develop a list of required project permits.
• Support entering the project into EHSync and respond to data requests from Environmental, Real Properties, and Government Lands teams.
• Assist in the Project Execution Strategy review to assign construction responsibilities.
• Support Grid resources to perform work per the TLRR Program Plan.
• Negotiate with the GCC to develop preliminary construction schedule for outages.
• Develop specs and scopes of work to support bidding of contracted project work.
• Attend job walks and bid conferences, answer technical questions, and participate in bid review.
• Participate in kickoff meetings and regular construction progress meetings.
• Meet with Contractors to address performance issues.
• Review QA/QC documentation and support final acceptance.
• Support project closeout as needed.
