Job summary

Pacifica Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil Construction Inspector to oversee all SCE-sponsored civil construction work in California.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, document as-built locations, and deliver detailed reports on ongoing projects, maintenance, and quality. The role involves coordinating changes with internal/external stakeholders and performing safety assessments, with up to 75% travel to field sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience inspecting utility UG infrastructure.
• Possess a valid Class C Driver’s License
• Preferred: Underground Structures (UGS) Manual, GO128 and related industry standards
• Preferred: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Preferred: 2+ years managing multiple tasks with conflicting schedules and limited timelines
• Preferred: Experience inspections, including providing corrective recommendations
• Preferred: Experience evaluating project effectiveness including reporting and changes implemented
• Required: Experience documenting installed facilities locations on as-built drawings and preparing supporting documentation
• Preferred: Experience delivering reports to peers/management
• Preferred: Managing risks and safety and providing exceptional service to customers

Responsibilities

• Oversees all SCE-sponsored civil construction work.
• Ensures services meet regulatory requirements.
• Creates and delivers reports on construction, quality, and maintenance.
• Documents location of installed facilities on as-built drawings and prepares supporting docs.
• Coordinates project changes per contract documents and policies with internal/external customers.
• Collaborates with contractors and provides technical support to planning teams.
• Interfaces with internal and external personnel; makes field decisions impacting crews and work orders.
• Reviews, authorizes, validates, and tracks field work scopes; approves Field Change Orders in Ariba.
• Performs contractor field safety assessments and promotes safety culture.
• Updates work orders in ClickSchedule for non-UGC work and ensures updates post-award.
• Ensures warranty corrections are completed, inspecting for safety and quality.
• Requires up to 75% travel to job sites within SCE service territory.
