Job summary

Titusville Economic Development is seeking a skilled Senior Utilities Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair mechanical and electrical equipment at municipal water and wastewater plants and pumping stations in Titusville, FL. The role works under general supervision with independent judgment for repair methods.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, disassembling and rebuilding pumps and gearboxes, performing preventive maintenance, welding and fabrication as needed, and guiding

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent plus three years journeyman level experience required.
• Combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Florida CDL or operator license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test equipment to assess condition and identify repairs.
• Determine materials and perform required repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems.
• Disassemble and rebuild pumps, gearboxes, mixers, and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance at scheduled intervals.
• Purchase supplies with supervisor approval.
• Prepare logs and inventory records.
