Senior-level UI design role focused on clinical tools and care-facing platforms at Humana/CenterWell IT.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end UI design for assigned product verticals, from discovery through pixel-perfect delivery.
- Design workflow and information architecture for data-dense, human-in-the-loop clinical workflows.
- Interface design for complex use cases where accuracy, clarity, and user trust are critical.
- Support and contribute to design systems, reusable patterns, and scalable design standards.
- Deliver design recommendations with rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and building alignment across teams.
- Create interactive, high-fidelity prototypes to model complex interactions and validate user flows.
- Help evolve internal processes for AI-assisted tools as access to internal tooling expands.
- Plan and run qualitative user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions with users and stakeholders.
- Champion accessibility and health literacy, applying WCAG 2.1 AA and plain-language design principles to support inclusive experiences across varying literacy levels.
- Apply a healthcare and compliance mindset, with attention to privacy, patient trust, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on product design experience (UI/UX) delivering digital products, web applications, or complex enterprise platforms from concept to launch, with a strong portfolio of complex interfaces showing visual hierarchy and clean execution for data-dense applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Expert-level Figma skills including auto-layout, tokens, component variables, and interactive prototyping.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution within established design system and standards.
- Proven capability to manage competing priorities, work through ambiguous requirements, and maintain high design quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
- Outstanding communication: articulate design decisions, present recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders, and discuss technical constraints and tradeoffs directly with engineers.
- Demonstrated success using design to improve business and customer outcomes (patient satisfaction, engagement, retention, or operational efficiency).
- AI fluency: understanding how AI-driven features behave in-product (latency handling, confidence scoring, human-in-the-loop workflows) and interest in AI-assisted design tools.
