Job summary

Humana in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior User Interface Design Engineer to craft intuitive, high‑trust digital experiences across clinical tools and care‑facing platforms.

You will own end‑to‑end UI design from discovery through pixel‑perfect delivery, drive information architecture for data‑dense workflows, contribute to design systems, and create interactive prototypes. Strong Figma skills and a healthcare background are preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on product design experience (UI/UX) delivering digital products, web apps, or complex enterprise platforms.
  • Strong portfolio showing complex interfaces with clear visual hierarchy and clean execution for data-dense applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Expert-level Figma skills including auto-layout, tokens, component variables, and interactive prototyping
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution within established design system and standards
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, work through ambiguity, and maintain high design quality in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills to articulate design decisions and discuss constraints with engineers and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success using design to improve business and customer outcomes (patient satisfaction, engagement, retention)
  • AI fluency: understanding of AI behavior and in-product AI tooling

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Compensation
  • Pay range: USD 97,900 - 133,500 per year
  • Eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance
