Sharp Electronics Corporation USA is seeking a senior UX Designer to lead the user experience process, develop concepts, conduct research, wireframes, and digital prototyping while guiding cross-functional teams.
The role focuses on user research, design judgment, and delivering measurable improvements across appliances and applications with strong collaboration with Product Planning, Industrial Design and Engineering.
Lead, define, and shape the UX design process. Develop user experience concepts and specifications through collection, analysis, and synthesis of data guided by the special requirements between the consumer and product functionality. Prepare clear and concise recommendations by identifying strategy and content, user research, wire‑framing and digital prototyping, user‑testing and analytics, along with the usual set of requirements determined by the product application. Make decisions on user experience direction as part of the overall strategy.
Work performed in an office environment, requiring the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards in close proximity to others. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and lift and carry parcels, packages, and other items.
SMCA is the U.S. manufacturing facility for SHCA, the U.S. Consumer Products Group of Sharp Electronics Corporation, the U.S. sales subsidiary of Sharp Corporation. SHCA manufactures premium home appliances in Memphis, TN, together with sales, marketing and servicing of home electronics in Montvale, NJ. Leading products include Sharp Carousel, Microwave Drawer Ovens, SuperSteam ovens, and Plasmacluster Ion air purifiers.
$48,837 - $84,070 USD. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program‑specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
