Job summary

Sharp Manufacturing Company of America is seeking a procurement leader in Memphis, TN to drive sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of goods and services for manufacturing and sales. You will coordinate buyers, manage cost-down plans, and ensure timely material delivery to production while maintaining inventory targets.

Job description

Responsible to the Supply Chain Director for the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of goods and services to support the manufacturing and sales of product. Responsibilities include coordinating the efforts of the buyers to meet company goals, developing and monitoring company cost down plans and monitoring service parts.

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed primarily in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards in close proximity to others.
• Must be able to bend/stoop and lift up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.
• Frequent interaction with carriers, brokers, suppliers and internal departments.
• Must be able to walk moderate distances in a warehouse environment.

The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
