Job summary

Strategic Staffing Solutions in Detroit seeks a UX Designer with 5–7 years experience and a strong portfolio to create polished visual and interaction designs for internal enterprise tools.

You will partner with business units to understand needs, translate requirements into intuitive experiences, synthesize research and stakeholder input, and deliver mockups, prototypes, user flows, and development-ready stories.

Duration: 12 Month Contract with the chance of extension/converting to full time

(W2 ONLY, NO C2C)

Assignment: Eligible for Contract renewal

UX Design Candidate Requirements

• Target candidate: UX Designer with 5–7 years of experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating polished visual and interaction design work.
• Core expectation: Ability to partner directly with business units and internal customers to understand needs, clarify requirements, and translate them into intuitive user experiences and design solutions
• What to prioritize: Candidates who can synthesize research, stakeholder input, and business requirements into high-quality outputs (mockups, prototypes, user flows, and development-ready user stories)
• Core tools: Advanced proficiency in Figma and/or Axure.
• Industry/product context: Experience designing for internal enterprise tools, complex workflows, or operational environments is highly relevant. Utility or other regulated-industry experience is a plus, but not required.
• Role scope: This is an individual contributor role, best suited for someone who can work independently while collaborating closely with senior designers, product teams and cross-functional partners.
• Key traits to screen for: Empathy, collaboration, initiative, and the ability to communicate design rationale clearly and iterate designs based on feedback.
• Good signals: Candidates who show strong visual craft, examples of turning feedback into refined design work, and evidence of proactively driving design work from concept to delivery.
