Custom Truck One Source, Inc. is seeking an experienced Equipment / Used Truck Buyer to source, evaluate, and acquire used trucks and equipment through auctions, dealer networks, and trade-ins.

This role supports margin-driven purchasing across Used Truck Sales, Retail, and Auction channels. The ideal candidate understands market dynamics, trade-in valuation, and retail pricing, and can build relationships with dealers, finance companies, and fleet managers to optimize dispositions and inventory

Qualifications

• 5+ years in used truck or heavy equipment purchasing.
• Strong knowledge of auctions, wholesale pricing, and trade-in economics.
• CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) required.
• Strong negotiation and relationship skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and inventory systems.

Responsabilités

• Source used trucks and equipment via auctions, dealer networks, consignors, fleet accounts, private sellers, and customer trade-ins.
• Analyze market value, reconditioning costs, transportation, auction vs. retail exit strategies, and margin impact.
• Provide timely, accurate trade-in valuations to support new truck sales, used truck sales, and retail transactions.
• Evaluate potential purchases by analyzing auction values, retail values, reconditioning costs, transportation, and expected margins.
• Attend live and online auctions and represent Custom Truck One Source in purchasing activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, finance companies, fleet managers, auction companies, and industry contacts.
