Job summary

Black Sheep Coffee is seeking an experienced, commercially minded People Manager to lead the HR function across our US business from the Miami HQ. The role reports to the Managing Director, USA and collaborates with Co-CEOs and the UK People Director to align practices and drive growth.

You will oversee end-to-end HR, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance, compensation, payroll, benefits and compliance, while also acting as de facto Office Manager.

Qualifications

• Extensive generalist HR experience in multi-unit or corporate settings.
• Strong knowledge of US federal, state and local employment laws.
• Proven ability to lead HR strategy and advisory work to senior leadership.
• Experience partnering with franchise networks and office operations is an advantage.
• HR systems, reporting and data-driven decision-making experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead US People plan aligned with growth priorities and provide commercially balanced advice.
• Oversee recruitment lifecycle for US corporate roles and support openings.
• Manage employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits.
• Coordinate payroll inputs, budgeting and compliance with HR standards.
• Act as de facto Office Manager for the Miami headquarters.
