Job summary

OPERS, the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst for its Internal Fixed Income team to strengthen credit research and security selection within the US High Yield strategy.

You will develop independent, differentiated credit views through rigorous fundamental analysis, build financial models, and contribute to investment decisions across the portfolio in collaboration with the High Yield Portfolio Manager and the broader investment team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and CFA Charterholder required.
• MBA or master's in finance or related field preferred.
• At least five years of experience in fundamental credit analysis.
• Bloomberg experience.
• License as State Retirement System Investment Officer (SRSIO) within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct issuer and industry research across high yield sectors.
• Develop investment theses and share insights with the investment team.
• Partner with the High Yield Portfolio Manager to identify opportunities and manage risk.
• Participate in investment discussions and portfolio reviews with management teams.
