Job summary

OPERS, based in Columbus, OH, seeks a Senior Investment Analyst for its Internal Fixed Income team to support US High Yield credit research and portfolio management. You will develop independent credit views and contribute to investment decisions across the portfolio.

Requirements include a CFA Charterholder (MBA preferred), five years of experience in credit analysis, and Bloomberg proficiency. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with potential for remote days.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and CFA Charterholder required.
MBA or master's degree in finance or related field preferred.
At least five years of experience in fundamental credit analysis.
Bloomberg experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Conduct issuer and industry research across high yield sectors, including financial analysis, capital structure review, competitive assessment, market monitoring, and key credit-driver identification.
Develop investment theses and share insights with the investment team.
Partner with the High Yield Portfolio Manager to identify opportunities, support portfolio construction, and manage risk to improve risk-adjusted returns.
