Job summary

Domestic & General is seeking a Senior US Compliance Manager for a hybrid role based in Norwalk, Connecticut. This 6‑month fixed‑term contract focuses on building a robust US compliance program and aligning activities with the 2nd Line of Defence, reporting to Group Compliance leadership and the US leadership team.

You’ll design risk-based controls, coordinate with regulators, and advise on new products and marketing materials while promoting integrity and accountability across the US business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in law, finance, or business.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. regulatory frameworks and enforcement trends.
• Proven transformation, leadership and team management experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a robust and proportionate compliance framework for the US.
• Develop an operating model with clear roles between 1st and 2nd line.
• Define and ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory laws.
• Engage with US regulators on inquiries, examinations and remediation programs.
• Review policies and tailor controls to US requirements.
• Provide pragmatic regulatory compliance advice on products and customer journeys.
• Lead risk assessments and build a US compliance monitoring plan.
• Implement conflict of interest controls and whistleblowing arrangements.
• Support delivery of financial crime enhancements and regulatory change processes.
• Develop US compliance training and report to leadership on risks and trends.
