Bolton & Menk, Inc. seeks a Senior Planner to lead complex urban and community planning projects and act as a trusted advisor to clients. You will guide teams from concept through implementation and mentor junior staff, shaping outcomes for communities.

This role offers multidisciplinary collaboration across land use, development review, policy development, and public engagement, with opportunities to influence project strategy and grow the planning practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, or related field.
• 8–10+ years of progressive planning experience.
• AICP certification preferred but not required.
• Experience leading planning projects, client relationships, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong knowledge of land use planning, development processes, and zoning.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage planning projects from concept through implementation.
• Serve as a key resource for clients and project teams.
• Mentor staff and contribute to proposals and client pursuits.
• Lead presentations, facilitate meetings, and guide public engagement.
• Collaborate with engineers and landscape architects on community projects.
