API, the national oil and gas trade association, seeks a Senior Policy Advisor in Upstream Policy to oversee regulatory advocacy on hydraulic fracturing and related environmental issues. You will coordinate with API members, staff, coalitions, and state and federal partners to develop policy positions and implement strategy advancing member interests.

Responsibilities include leading expert analyses, organizing committee meetings, and guiding engagement with regulators, industry groups, and NGOs

Competenze

• 7+ years of experience in a similar role and subject matter expertise.
• Experience in public policy advocacy, regulatory affairs, or government may serve as comparable experience.
• Knowledge of federal administrative law and rulemaking process.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and graphical), planning, organizational skills.

• Communicate applicable federal laws, regulations, policies, and agency practices.
• Develop and implement policy positions in coordination with API members and staff.
