Job summary

Hardsuit Labs is seeking a Programmer IV to join our remote-enabled Programming team in Canada. You will design and implement robust systems, collaborate with QA and technical leadership, and help define architecture for high-impact features.

Requires 7+ years of software development, 3+ years of Unreal Engine, 2+ years C++, and proven ability to estimate time and work across multiple code bases. Strong communication and client-facing experience, plus 3D math expertise, are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years professional software development.
• 3+ years Unreal Engine experience.
• 3+ years development in a team environment.
• 2+ years professional C++ experience with advanced understanding.
• Experience with multiple code bases.
• Ability to discuss proposals, requirements, and designs with stakeholders.
• Ability to provide meaningful time estimates for large tasks.
• Write optimized, thread-safe code and debug effectively.
• Able to navigate ambiguity and adapt across domains.
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows is a plus.
• Adherence to project coding standards and strong collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; client-facing experience.
• Strong expertise in 3D math.

Responsibilities

• Design, author, and maintain robust and highly optimized systems.
