Side, formerly PTW, is a global game services provider delivering technical and creative solutions for major developers around the world. We seek a Senior Engine & Graphics Engineer on a contract basis with deep Unreal Engine 5, rendering systems, and performance optimisation expertise.

You will lead engine-rendering innovations, profile complex CPU/GPU bottlenecks, and mentor teams while driving improvements with minimal supervision across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Unreal Engine 5 and graphics systems.
• Strong C++ programming and low-level engine work.
• Ability to profile and optimize performance across CPUs/GPUs.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and optimisation of core engine, rendering, and graphics systems in UE5.
• Profile and resolve CPU/GPU/memory performance across projects.
• Collaborate with gameplay engineers and content teams to fix bottlenecks.
• Own performance strategy and provide technical direction across projects.
• Contribute to engine-level development and low-level systems.
• Act as senior advisor and communicate risks to clients and teams.
• Identify challenges early and drive solutions with minimal oversight.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence through reviews.
