Job summary

CLS is seeking a Service Operations Specialist to support Unix-based applications in an AWS environment. The role requires strong Linux administration, AWS service knowledge, and experience with IBM WebSphere MQ, PostgreSQL, and DB2.

You will collaborate with development and other operations teams to ensure high availability, document procedures, and participate in change and release management. The successful candidate will provide remote and onsite support, 24/7 on-call coverage on a rotation,

Qualifications

• Experience supporting production applications in a Red Hat/Linux environment.
• Experience with AWS product set (EC2, Lambda, EKS, ECR, WorkSpaces, EBS, EFS, S3, RDS) and related services.
• Strong documentation and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and onsite support for CLS internal applications and 3rd party packages across Dev, Test, UAT and Prod.
• Provide 24/7 on-call coverage on a rotational basis.
• Investigate defects with Development and external vendors to identify workarounds and fixes.
• Follow Change Management procedures for installation and configuration in Test/Prod environments.
• Upgrade or maintain software with minimal business impact.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery testing and maintain operation documentation.
• Participate in planned weekend work.
