SmartRecruiters, Inc. seeks an experienced IT Systems Specialist to provide specialized technical and product support for hosted solutions. You will troubleshoot complex software, improve installation and configuration procedures, and contribute to system standards.

Ideal candidates have a technical Bachelor’s degree, Linux experience, Bash/Python skills, and familiarity with issue-tracking tools. Knowledge of JMS, Docker, and ITIL is a plus, along with ServiceNow expertise.

• Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science.
• Experience with Linux.
• Experience with Bash/Python.
• Experience with problem tracking tools (e.g. ClearQuest, Bugzilla, JIRA).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff in difficult situations.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and stay current with advances.
• Experience with JMS (WebSphereMQ or ActiveMQ) is a plus.
• Experience with OS-level virtualization (Docker) is a plus.
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices will be a plus.
• Service Now knowledge is a plus.

- Responsible for providing specialized technical and product support for company hosted solutions, this includes troubleshooting and debugging complex software solutions.

- Improve and maintain installation and configuration procedures.

- Contribute to and maintain system standards.

- Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.

- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs.
