Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, NJ seeks an Associate General Counsel to provide strategic legal advice to trustees, senior leaders, and campus units. This executive role reports to the General Counsel and oversees a broad portfolio of matters in a regulated university environment.

The successful candidate will have a J.D., bar admission, at least four years of relevant experience, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to guide complex

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school is required.
• Bar admission in good standing; NJ reciprocity/exam within 6 months if not admitted in NJ.
• Minimum four years of progressively responsible legal experience after law school.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, practical, and strategic legal advice to trustees, senior leaders, and campus units.
• Manage a broad portfolio of legal matters in a complex, highly regulated environment.
• Supervisory responsibilities may include attorneys, legal professionals, outside counsel, or project teams.
