Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; professional designations preferred.
• Typically a minimum eight years underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting highly complex risks and pricing.
• Strong knowledge of insurance underwriting principles, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites highly complex risks using diagnostic and systematic analysis.
• Develops endorsement language for complex risks.
• Determines pricing of complex risks aligned with compliance requirements.
• Markets products via agencies/brokers; builds relationships with large producers.
• Mentors and guides less experienced underwriters and assists in training.
• Uses CNA systems for day-to-day activities.
• Prepares and presents reports to management.
