Job summary

You will work with the Director of Underwriting on strategic projects, staffing, and technology initiatives that improve efficiency and service to agents and insureds.

The role requires seven years of P&C underwriting experience, including two years in a leadership role, and a Bachelor's degree in a business field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business-related field from an accredited college/university.
• Seven years of property and casualty underwriting experience with leadership experience.
• Experience with technology initiatives and related projects.

Responsibilities

• Manages department workflow and monitors daily productivity with documented controls.
• Participates in recruitment, training and development of staff.
• Manages staff performance and conducts regular quality audits.
• Provides guidance on complex accounts and issues.
• Analyzes overall book of business to identify improvement opportunities.
• Oversees tech projects that enhance underwriting operations and efficiency.
• Supports agency relations to meet sales objectives.
• Ensures compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
• Maintains relationships with agents, insureds, regulatory personnel, and teams.
