As a member of our underwriting support team, you will provide high-level support to the underwriting function. Your responsibilities include preparing new business quotes, issuing policies, rating applications, and maintaining accuracy and deadlines.

Responsibilities

1. Complete portfolio process (RPA) prior to renewal date.
2. Complete pre-underwriting process of renewals and new business submissions by Underwriter due date.
3. Coordinate the pre-underwriting process, including review of applications, requesting additional info, classifying exposures, ordering reports, analyzing claims and trends, reviewing audits, and completing forms.
4. Attend and participate in team and underwriting meetings.
5. Meet weekly with assigned underwriter to discuss priorities.
6. Process work in a timely and accurate manner.
7. Rate and issue WC new business and renewal policies, providing instructions to the Rating Center.
8. Issue WC and Auto state filings as required.
9. Review correspondence and respond to inquiries within authority limits.
10. Maintain Corporate Underwriting Image Standards.
11. Contact producers and insureds to obtain information and expedite service.
12. Visit agents with underwriters to establish contact and routines.
13. Assist in training new hires, participate in projects, and present new material.
14. Demonstrate commitment to the company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, applying compliance policies and laws.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in underwriting, with knowledge of at least one line of business.
• Experience working with internal/external clients.
• Ability to maintain professional relationships.
• Strong team skills.

Compensation

The wage range is $32.15 to $39.33, based on market data and various factors.
