Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services Inc. is seeking a Senior Underwriter for the Staffing/Healthcare Vertical to manage underwriting and servicing of new and renewal accounts in compliance with company standards.

This role requires travel up to 25% and collaboration with vertical management, regional sales, and consultants to meet vertical goals. The position emphasizes risk analysis, pricing, and proactive client relationship management, with a focus on workers' compensation coverage and market trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• CPCU or CIC designation preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time within the assigned territory and to the home office as required.
• Demonstrated experience with and expert technical knowledge of workers compensation coverage and risk selection, methods and pricing.
• Demonstrate ability to interpret and analyze data and make an informed, calculated risk decision.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Write and retain a profitable book of business through solid risk analysis, pricing and servicing.
• Collaborates closely with vertical team and keeps peers informed of issues and activity.
• Develop and implement the vertical business plan with Regional Sales Managers and Business Generation Consultants.
• Train vertical staff and clients on underwriting appetite and protocols.
• Coach and collaborate with team to manage and maintain outside client relationships, including travel to meet with agents and organizations.
