Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Underwriter to profitably underwrite new and renewal business in the Private Equity P&C space.

You will own large accounts, negotiate terms, and lead for at least one product line such as General Liability, Umbrella, Commercial Auto, Commercial Property, or Workers’ Compensation. This is a hybrid role based in Alpharetta, GA with strong broker/client relationships.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Commercial Property & Casualty underwriting experience; Middle Market experience preferred
• Established relationships with brokers at peer group level and within market
• Specialized understanding of regional/local insurance markets and competitor landscape
• Undergraduate degree required; Economics, Finance, Insurance Management or Business Administration preferred
• Completion of professional insurance qualification (e.g. CPCU) preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned broker portfolio to drive profitability and growth
• Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets
• Underwrite and grow Property & Casualty business including Workers' Comp, GL, Auto and Umbrella/Excess within Private Equity
• Serve as a Specialist/Technical Expert in a Product Line within Middle Market
• Ensure placement and binding of FAC Reinsurance prior to policy inception
• Acquire new business and retain existing business through client and broker negotiations
• Coordinate with MMC, ARC, Claims and Operations during underwriting process
