Job summary

Burns & Wilcox seeks an experienced underwriting professional to build and grow a book of business in a hybrid Chicago setting. You will manage agency relationships and serve as the lead client contact, while creating marketing plans to increase both new and renewal business.

The role requires 3+ years of commercial underwriting or brokerage experience, plus a sales mindset and keen attention to detail. Licensing or designations like CPCU/CIC are preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial lines underwriting or brokerage experience required.
• Insurance license or designations preferred (CPCU/CIC).
• Proven sales and marketing proficiency with strong attention to detail.
• Interest in ongoing professional development.
