Job summary

PACE Equity seeks a Senior Underwriter to drive underwriting and execution of C-PACE financings from intake through closing. You will work across multifamily, hospitality, office, retail, industrial, and seniors housing assets in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of CRE underwriting or related experience, advanced Excel skills, and strong written communication. Prior C-PACE exposure is preferred but not required, with close collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, accounting, economics, or related field.
• 4–6 years of CRE underwriting, lending, investment banking, or valuation experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and macro-enabled underwriting models.
• Knowledge of CRE fundamentals and lender-side credit metrics.
• Clear, concise writing for credit memos.
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple transactions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain underwriting models for C-PACE transactions across asset classes.
• Develop stabilized pro formas, sources and uses, and capital stack analysis.
• Calculate key credit metrics: PACE-to-value, debt yield, DSCR, LTV/LTC.
• Review appraisals, rent rolls, T-12s, construction budgets, market studies.
• Coordinate third-party reports (appraisals, Phase I ESAs, property condition reports).
• Prepare credit risk scorecards and IC memos.
• Collaborate with originations, transaction management, legal, closing, and asset management.
• Guide Transaction Analysts on assigned deals.
