Job summary

Honeycomb Insurance is seeking an experienced underwriter to shape modern risk assessment and pricing for habitational and related lines. The role emphasizes AI-driven decision making and growth across a diversified book, with flexibility for California-based hybrid or remote work.

You will collaborate with underwriting and analytics teams, leveraging data to improve risk selection, terms, and profitability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of underwriting/insurance experience in Commercial Habitational and Specialty Property.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• AI proficiency and interest in automation opportunities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Quote and release new and renewal for habitational business.
• Analyze and approve requested policy changes across Habitational portfolio.
• Maintain familiarity with state insurance regulations and ISO rules.
• Maintain open, transparent communications with team members and partners.
• Monitor portfolio composition via reports, audits and inspections.
• Support marketing functions and efforts to promote Honeycomb.
• Complete special projects and assignments.
