Job summary

Sunrock is seeking an Underground Utility Foreman to oversee the installation of water, sewer, and storm drainage on our heavy civil projects. You will plan manpower, equipment, and materials, direct field crews, and ensure work is completed to spec, on time, and within budget.

The role requires 5+ years of supervision in utility construction, strong leadership and drawing-reading skills. A NC driver’s license is required; OSHA 10 and related certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supervising utility construction on heavy civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of underground utility methods, trenching, and compaction.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specs.
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid NC driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of underground utility installation on Sunrock's heavy civil projects.
• Plan manpower, equipment, and materials; direct field crews.
• Enforce safety standards and ensure work is completed to spec, on schedule, and within budget.
• Lead and supervise crews installing water, sewer, storm drain, and related systems.
• Monitor productivity, track materials, and control project costs.
• Communicate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and utility companies.
• Resolve conflicts with existing utilities or site conditions to keep projects on track.
