Job summary

W. W. Clyde and Co. is seeking a Superintendent for Heavy Civil Construction - Underground Wet Utilities. The role covers scheduling, supervising crafts, and coordinating multiple departments across projects in Arizona and New Mexico.

Responsibilities include safety compliance, problem resolution, and ensuring adherence to drawings and schedules while maintaining effective union relations and driving record.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• 5+ years supervisory experience in construction.
• Strong scheduling, cost control, and methods knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise craft activities, determine construction methods, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules.
• Coordinate work across crafts, departments, and contractors.
• Liaise with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure drawings, specs, and schedules are followed.
• Assist in resolving construction problems and productivity issues.
• Maintain communications with unions and resolve jurisdictional disputes as needed.
• Monitor safety and environmental compliance; ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Coordinate with Material Control, Purchasing, QC to support craft activities and schedules.
• Maintain an insurable driving record.
