Kinross Gold Corp. seeks a Senior Safety Specialist for the TOP UG Exploration Project in Nevada. You will support MSHA-regulated health and safety programs, applying hazard identification, risk mitigation, and emergency preparedness across multiple departments to embed safe work practices.

You will lead investigations, develop safety trainings (MSHA Part 48 refresher), maintain SMS and SOPs, and coordinate with operations to uphold a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; experience accepted as alternative.
• 5+ years in Health and Safety; 3+ years in MSHA-regulated environment; underground hardrock mining experience.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with MSHA, federal, state and company safety regs.
• Conduct inspections, audits, risk assessments; track corrective actions.
• Lead incident/near-miss investigations; analyze root causes; recommend measures.
• Develop and deliver safety trainings including MSHA Part 48 refresher requirements.
• Assist in setting Health and Safety program goals and SMS/SOP updates.
• Maintain safety docs: training records, inspection logs, incident reports.
• Support IH/OH programs and coordinate monitoring.
• Prepare MSHA documentation and reports; participate in drills.
