Job summary

Eagle Mine, LLC is seeking a Senior Mine Planning Engineer to lead and support mine planning for long- and short-term horizons, safely and efficiently. The role serves as the link between leadership intent and field execution, guiding teams toward operational excellence with care and communication.

The position requires significant underground mining experience, strong planning skills, and a focus on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role on site.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mining Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of technical and/or operations experience in underground mining, with at least 2 years in similar roles.
• Significant background in underground safety systems.
• Experience with mine planning and related systems.
• Knowledge of cemented rockfill, rock mechanics and ground support design.
• Familiarity with Ventilation-on-Demand controls.
• LEAN, Six SIGMA or other improvement methods preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety-first mine planning and daily operations.
• Set and communicate goals, expectations, and changes to staff.
• Coach and develop employees; provide feedback and recognition.
• Oversee Life of Mine Plan development and related forecasts.
• Coordinate underground designs and ensure best practice standards.
• Distribute KPI metrics across time horizons
• Collaborate with site teams to identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain field presence and drive operational excellence.
