Job summary

Hycroft Mining Holding Corporation in Nevada seeks a Senior Underground Mine Engineer to develop, evaluate, and optimize long-range mine plans that support safe, efficient, and economic operation.

You will lead underground design, stope optimization, and production scheduling, integrating geological, geotechnical, and cost data while mentoring engineers and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or Geological Engineering.
• 6–10 years of underground mining experience.
• Strong background in underground mining operations and production optimization.
• Proficiency in Vulcan and/or Deswik and other mine design software.
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial evaluation.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Leadership and project management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-range and life-of-mine plans aligned with production and financial objectives.
• Develop annual and multi-year production schedules with constraints.
• Evaluate alternative mine plans, production rates, and development strategies.
• Lead underground mine designs including access, declines, ramps and ventilation.
• Develop and optimize stope designs and production sequencing.
• Support economic evaluations, feasibility studies, and due diligence.
• Mentor Mine Engineers and review technical work.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure safety compliance.
• Identify improvements to planning processes and tools.
