Job summary

P&C Recruiting | H.R. seeks a Senior Underground Mining Engineer for a lead technical role in an emerging underground mine project. Responsibilities include design, planning, scheduling, and coordinating internal and external resources to advance technical studies.

The candidate will build a capable team of engineers, surveyors and geologists, implement policies for mine operations, and liaise with regulatory bodies. Travel, including Nevada, is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mine or Geological Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of underground mine engineering experience.
• Experience coordinating with internal/external technical resources.
• Proficient with Deswik, Maptek-Vulcan, or similar software for mine design.
• Knowledge of mining/processing operations.
• Willingness to travel; travel primarily in Nevada.
• Gold and silver mining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop mine design, planning and scheduling for a new underground mine.
• Lead technical team of engineers, surveyors and geologists.
• Create systems, policies and procedures for mine operations.
• Coordinate with regulatory entities (MSHA, BLM, NDEP, etc.).
• Assist budgeting and forecasting with site management.
• Represent the company to surrounding communities.
• Report to Underground General Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
