Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) is seeking a Senior Engineer Technical Specialist, Underground Mining to drive technical integrity and long-term planning of our mine sites. This hybrid role is 75% site-based / 25% central, overseeing design, schedules, cost estimation, and the roadmap for future mining developments to deliver the Life of Mine plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of underground mining experience with focus on mine planning, design and project management.
• Excellent safety record and safety leadership.
• Deep understanding of mine operations, design principles, LOM planning and infrastructure management.
• Ability to manage large-scale projects and lead cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Technical Excellence: oversee forecasts and Life of Mine plans for technical rigor.
• Develop and Manage LOM Technical Roadmap: identify gaps, drive required studies for LOM.
• Drive Growth Projects: lead technical initiatives for LOM expansion and timely execution.
• Best Practice Implementation: identify improvements and share best practices across sites.
• Utilize SME Resources: engage experts to address complex technical challenges.
