Lake Shore Gold Corp. seeks a Chief Mine Geologist to lead the underground geology team at the Bell Creek Mine in Porcupine, ON.

You will oversee grade control, reconciliation, and mineral resource planning, while ensuring data integrity and safety standards are integrated into daily and strategic mine planning. The role reports to the Mine Manager and requires strong leadership, mentoring of geologists and technicians, and collaboration with engineering and resource teams for exploration and

Qualifications

• B.Sc in Geology is required.
• P.Geo in good standing is required.
• Capable of working independently.
• Maintain high safety standards.
• Experience in underground gold mining preferred (8-10 years).

Responsibilities

• Manage daily grade control and ore/waste calls underground.
• Oversee QA/QC and sampling data collection.
• Update geological databases and models (Deswik, mapping, assays).
• Review and approve underground mine layouts and plans.
• Contribute to stoping design, reconciliation, and long-range planning.
• Mentor and develop geology team; promote safety culture.
