The American Friends Service Committee is seeking a UN Representative, Program and Outreach for its QUNO New York office, located at the UN in New York. This senior role leads program development, outreach, and staff supervision to advance peacebuilding efforts with UN partners and Quaker communities.

The role requires collaboration with AFSC, FWCC and QUNC, plus a focus on fundraising and engagement with meetings, schools, and alumni networks. This is a full-time, hybrid position in New York.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in international affairs, public policy, international law, non-profit administration, or related field.
• Minimum seven years experience in non profit administration and program implementation.
• Knowledge of the UN system and international diplomacy.
• Ability to travel and work evenings/weekends as required.

Responsabilités

• Act as part of the representative team of the Quaker UN at the United Nations and communicate insights to the UN community.
• Model inclusive, non-violent approaches in interactions with UN stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain relationships with diplomats, UN staff and NGO representatives.
• Represent QUNO at UN program-related meetings and within AFSC communities.
• Oversee QUNO program assistant activities and supervise staff as needed.
• Lead outreach to Quaker Meetings, gatherings, and schools and support advancement efforts.
