Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Center in Seattle is seeking a part-time ultrasound technologist specializing in obstetric imaging, including fetal echocardiography. You will support radiologists during invasive procedures and contribute to high-quality patient care on a day shift at Swedish First Hill.

Minimum qualifications include accredited ultrasound training with RDMS OB/GYN eligibility, ARDMS certification on hire, BLS, plus at least two years in ultrasound and one year in high-risk OB.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited ultrasound training program and RDMS in OB/GYN or board eligible.
• ARDMS certification on hire and BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years ultrasound technologist experience.
• Minimum 1 year high-risk OB experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Diagnostic Ultrasound with ARDMS registry in adult/fetal echocardiography.

Responsibilities

• Perform OB/GYN ultrasound examinations including fetal echo for high-risk patients.
• Assist radiologist or perinatologist during invasive procedures.
• Make clinical judgments based on physician notes, records, and patient assessments.

Performs a variety of sonographic examinations relating to high-risk OB patients, including Fetal Echo. Expectations also include assisting the radiologist and/or perinatologist during invasive procedures. Makes a clinical judgement of the patient's condition, based on information obtained from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview and personal assessments.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound training program and is board eligible or RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) in OB/GYN
• Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 2 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist
• 1 year of high-risk OB experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound
• Upon hire: Registry with the ARDMS in Adult and Fetal Echocardiography

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $60.96 - $93.37
