Job summary

Providence Swedish in Seattle is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts exams and assist radiologists during invasive procedures. You will form clinical judgments using physician referrals, records and patient interactions to guide care.

The role requires ultrasound training, ARDMS eligibility within 1 year, and BLS certification at hire, with a strong emphasis on patient-focused care in a not-for-profit health system.

Qualifications

Description

Performs a variety of sonographic examinations dealing with OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts. Expectations also include assisting the radiologist during invasive procedures. Makes a clinical judgment of the patient's condition, based on information obtained from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview and personal assessments.

Required Qualifications:


  • Coursework/Training: Successful completion of Ultrasound training program --- Education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take American Registry of Diagnostic Ultrasonographers (ARDMS) registry examination

  • Within 1 year of hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography

  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

  • 1 year of experience as an ultrasound technologist or ultrasound intern

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
