Job summary

Atria Health Institute is launching its Los Angeles Institute and invites a seasoned ultrasound professional to join the founding team in California. You will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, implement protocols, ensure QA, and help with accreditation processes while collaborating across clinical, finance, technology, and care coordination teams.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, ARDMS certification, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Active ARDMS certification is required for ACR accreditation.
• RVT and Breast registries are strongly preferred, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 5+ years of clinical ultrasound experience; leadership/charge capacity preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Continuing education to maintain active certification and status.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations with proper patient positioning and documentation.
• Execute and enforce ultrasound protocols (General, Breast, Vascular, OB/GYN, MSK).
• Conduct daily on-the-floor quality checks of images to meet standards.
• Assist with local accreditation renewals and inspections.
• Instruct and coach staff sonographers; assess competency and improvement opportunities.
• Oversee patient flow to minimize wait times and optimize schedule.
• Supervise staff, manage schedules, time sheets, and coverage.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with vendors for repairs.
• Manage inventory of ultrasound supplies and maintain sanitary suite.
• Serve as liaison with radiologists for wet reads and urgent findings.
• Educate patients and families across all ages; ensure patient advocacy.
• Utilize Athena RIS and PACS for documentation and image processing.
