Job summary

Covenant Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for CH Diagnostic Center West in Knoxville, TN. The role supports physician-defined ultrasound procedures, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety.

It requires ARDMS/ARRT licensure and at least three years of ultrasound experience, with BLS familiarity. The position is full-time, day shift, with emphasis on reduced exam turnaround times, accurate documentation, and adherence to HIPAA and Joint Commission guidelines.

Qualifications

• Clinical training and certification appropriate to the specified modality and three (3) years clinical ultrasound experience.
• Must have ARDMS, ARRT(S), ARRT(VS), or CCI licensure. State licensure in accordance with Tennessee guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures under the order of a licensed medical practitioner for diagnostic interpretation.
• Obtain patient history and document clinical information for review by physician.
• Document incidental findings and prepare preliminary findings for physician interpretation.
• Maintain infection prevention techniques and aseptic procedures.
• Position patients for ultrasound imaging and ensure patient safety during exams.
