Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, in Dover, NH seeks an Ultrasound Specialist to lead advanced ultrasound programs and mentor diagnostic medical sonography students. You will oversee ultrasound procedures, ensure high-quality imaging, and support radiology staff in a dynamic clinical environment.

The role requires ARDMS registration, NH licensure, and 3–5 years of ultrasound experience with various patient populations; on-site with a 20-hour weekly schedule and a $20k

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree Diagnostic Imaging or equivalent; Bachelor's preferred.
• Licenses: NH Radiologic Technologist and Sonographer license; ARDMS registration preferred.
• BLS certification required; 3–5 years ultrasound experience with multiple patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-the-job instruction to employees in ultrasound procedures.
• Guides ultrasound students through procedures and clinical experiences.
• Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures, including transport and positioning.
• Explain procedures to patients, addressing physical and emotional needs.
• Performs advanced ultrasound procedures (echocardiography, vascular, Doppler) as needed.
• Records digital images for radiologist interpretation.
• Assists physicians in biopsies as required.
