Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn is seeking a Technical Supervisor for Breast Ultrasound in the Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. This role provides day-to-day technical and clinical supervision of the ultrasound staff, coordinating workflow, and ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to departmental standards.

The successful candidate will oversee technologists, support daily operations, and collaborate with radiology leadership to maintain high-quality imaging services within regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant radiology field.
• AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology, DM Sonography, or Nuclear Medicine.
• New York State License in Radiologic Technology or Ultrasound.
• Current ARRT/ARDMS registration or equivalent credentialing body.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily technical operations to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
• Coordinates staffing and workflow to meet operational needs.
• Monitors image quality and adherence to protocols.
• Acts as resource for technologists on procedures and policies.
• Escalates issues to management as appropriate.
• Monitors compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
• Performs staff onboarding, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Supports equipment use, maintenance, and supply management.
• Ensures alignment with radiation safety policies and audits.
