Job summary

CGS is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer II to lead design efforts across multiple federal client sites, driving research-based UI/UX strategy and high-fidelity interfaces. The role requires collaboration with federal engineers and clients to deliver intuitive, accessible web experiences.

The candidate will own end-to-end UX processes, mentor junior designers, and ensure designs meet 508/USWDS standards while aligning with project goals and timelines.

Qualifications

• <1> Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• <2> Public Trust eligibility.
• <3> 10+ years in UX/UI design.
• <4> Strong portfolio showing research-driven design decisions.
• <5> Ability to design accessible web/mobile interfaces (508/USWDS).
• <6> Mentoring experience for junior designers.
• <7> Advanced HTML/CSS/JS knowledge.
• <8> Proficiency in Adobe XD, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• <9> Experience with Agile project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-scale UX design efforts including research, blueprinting, and evaluation of existing systems.
• Manage planning, design, and implementation of multiple sites and applications across several clients in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead all phases of user research to inform usable web pages and interfaces.
• Collaborate with federal engineers and clients to define and implement innovative solutions for stakeholders.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Develop scalable design resources to support collaboration and expansion of services.
