Contact Government Services (CGS) is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to support a major federal agency, leading full-scale UX design efforts and coordinating across multiple sites and clients. This role requires extensive UX experience, a strong portfolio, and ability to mentor junior designers.

The position is based in a fast-paced federal environment, with a focus on accessible, responsive designs and collaboration with engineers and clients to deliver intuitive interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust
• Strong UX design experience
• 10+ years combined professional design experience (UCD, UI/UX design)
• Strong online portfolio that showcases research-driven design decisions
• Experience designing responsive web and mobile applications that comply with 508 and USWDS standards
• Experience mentoring/leading junior designers
• Advanced coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, and JS)
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe xD, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

Responsibilities

• Lead full-scale UX design efforts to include research, blueprinting, and evaluating existing systems
• Manage planning, design, and implementation of multiple sites and applications across multiple clients in a fast-paced environment
• Lead all phases of user research and analysis to inform highly usable web pages and interfaces
• Collaborate with federal practice engineers and federal clients to define and implement innovative, usable solutions
• Create wireframes, storyboards, and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas
• Create scalable design resources to aid in project collaboration and expansion of ECS creative services
• Mentor/lead junior designers
• Design web and mobile apps compliant with 508 and USWDS standards
