Job summary

JPS Tech Solutions in Des Moines, IA seeks a Sr UI/UX Developer/Architect with enterprise design system experience and deep WCAG accessibility expertise to lead accessible component development and reusable UI patterns across federal projects.

You will build and maintain a scalable design system, document components with Storybook, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor others to uphold accessibility standards for complex applications such as River AI Chatbot and related systems.

Qualifications

5+ years of front-end development experience.
Proven ability to set up and integrate enterprise design systems and reusable component libraries.
Strong expertise in WCAG 2.1/AAA, ARIA roles, semantic HTML, and accessibility testing tools.

Responsibilities

Build, document, and maintain a scalable design system and reusable component library.
Develop high-level wrapper components with HTML, SASS, and Angular for accessibility.
Ensure WCAG compliance through semantic HTML, ARIA roles, and testing workflows.
Use Storybook for development, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Mentor teams to adhere to accessibility and UX standards.
Provide accessibility support for enterprise systems and major projects.
