Job summary

Buzzclan seeks a Sr UI/UX Developer/Architect with extensive experience in building enterprise design systems and ensuring WCAG accessibility compliance. The role focuses on creating reusable components, documenting systems, and driving accessibility through semantic HTML and ARIA.

The candidate will lead cross-functional teams, implement USWDS or similar systems, and mentor peers to maintain consistent UX standards across critical applications and River AI Chatbot integrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
• Proven ability to set up and integrate enterprise design systems and reusable components.
• Strong expertise in WCAG 2.1/AAA, ARIA roles, semantic HTML, and accessibility testing.
• Proficiency in HTML, SASS, and Angular.
• Experience using Storybook for component development and collaboration.
• Understanding of UX best practices and accessible UI design.
• Experience with USWDS or similar enterprise design systems.

Responsibilities

• Build, document, and maintain a scalable enterprise design system and reusable component library.
• Develop accessible wrapper components ensuring consistency and accessibility across apps.
• Ensure components meet WCAG 2.1/AAA and perform accessibility testing.
• Integrate Storybook for development, documentation, and cross-team collaboration.
• Mentor and partner with developers across teams on accessibility and design-system best practices.
• Support major projects to meet compliance deadlines.
