Job Description:

Senior UI / Full Stack Engineer

Location (Hybrid, 2 days a week): Sunnyvale, CA

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Systems Engineer to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software for enhancements and next-generation products. This role involves building and optimizing a wide range of software solutions, including operating systems, compilers, networking systems, databases, and internet-based tools. The engineer will also assess hardware compatibility and contribute to hardware design decisions.

Role Overview

At this level, you will have a sustained impact on the technical direction of HPE products, solutions, and services. You are recognized as a subject matter expert, applying advanced knowledge to solve complex business and technical challenges. You will collaborate across functional and technical teams, contribute to cross-organizational initiatives, and exercise strong independent judgment in achieving objectives. This role may also include mentoring and leading other engineers.

Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Frontend development 70% - 80% (remainder backend development)
  • Strong programming experience in HTML, CSS, Typescript, JS, Python, or Golang
  • Proven expertise in software architecture and system design for complex products and solutions
  • Experience designing and integrating software systems across multiple platforms
  • Solid understanding of web application development.
  • Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL
  • Experience in software testing methodologies, including test planning, debugging, and automation tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to senior leadership
  • Ability to communicate architectural designs, propose solutions, and influence decision-making at senior levels
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Datadog

The expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. United States of America: Annual Salary USD 136,500 - 276,500 in California. The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered.
