Job summary

UKi is hiring a Senior UI Engineer to own the experience layer of OpenDash 360, our next-generation training and readiness platform. You will shape the architecture of a data-dense frontend, define front-end standards, and build a reusable design system used across dashboards, competency mapping, and administration flows.

You will work with product, design, and backend teams to turn complex data into actionable interfaces, optimize performance, and ensure accessible, maintainable code.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production web apps with senior/lead scope.
• Deep Angular expertise with modern Angular features.
• React experience preferred with hooks and component design.
• Expert TypeScript with strong typing and contracts.
• Proven front-end architecture decisions and tradeoffs.
• Testing discipline: unit, component, and end-to-end.
• Experience with REST/GraphQL backends and Node.js.
• Familiarity with GitOps, CI/CD, and fast delivery culture.
• Strong written and spoken communication; US citizen for US work.

Responsibilities

• Own the OpenDash 360 UI layer and front-end architecture.
• Set patterns for a large app: components, state, contracts, testing.
• Build and maintain a reusable design system and guidelines.
• Turn dense data into clear, actionable interfaces.
• Optimize render performance, bundle size, and load behavior.
• Ship continuously via GitOps/CI/CD pipelines with automated tests.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, and customer teams; mentor engineers.
